PRINCIPAL/SENIOR SUBSTATION ENGINEERS
ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY
NEWCASTLE/GLASGOW/MANCHESTER

We now seeking Principal/Senior Substation Engineers to join the teams based at the Newcastle, Glasgow and Manchester offices to take on technical assistance and project management roles.

As Substation Engineer your duties will include feasibility studies and conceptual design through to the preparation of technical specifications and tender documents. You will also be involved in all aspects of technical management including design audit and factory inspection of contractor designs through to program and construction management.

Qualified to degree level in Electrical Engineering, you will ideally be Chartered or working towards Chartered Status. You should have proven technical or project management capability associated with transmission (275kV to 500kV) substation layouts and/ or associated plan and equipment. Ideally your experience will have be from a project delivery environment within a Transmission Utility, Consultancy or major Contracting Environment.

You must have proven understanding of UK CDM Regulations. Exceptional candidates holding HNC/HND qualifications and proven experience will be considered.
